EARTH DAY 2010: CARIBBEAN EDITION - No 2

What do you get when you introduce energy efficiency to social networking?

You get Welectricity, an innovative, low-carbon web application that helps users track and reduce their electricity consumption at home.

The service, launched today by startup Welectricity Inc to mark Earth Day 2010, employs principles of psychology and behavioral economics to nudge householders to consume less energy.  The company blog calls it their "little contribution to the planet".

A full press release is here and you can sign up to use the app at www.welectricity.com.
